1. Role of this Website
Orthopaedic Surgeon Singapore (this website) is an information and referral platform that helps patients in Singapore connect with independent, MOH-registered orthopaedic specialists. We are not a medical clinic, not a hospital, not an insurance provider, and not an employer of the specialists.
When you proceed with a specialist introduced through this website, you enter into a direct medical-services relationship with that independent specialist and their clinic or hospital. Diagnosis, treatment, surgery, invoicing, final pricing, and follow-up care are the sole responsibility of the attending specialist.
2. Pricing
All prices displayed on this website are starting estimates intended to give a general indication of cost. Consultation fees, procedure fees, and surgical costs vary between specialists and hospitals.
The final cost is set by the attending specialist and hospital and depends on, but is not limited to:
- The specialist's consultation and surgeon fees (which follow the published Singapore MOH fee benchmarks)
- The specific procedure performed and its complexity
- Implants and prostheses used (standard vs premium)
- Anaesthetist fees and operating-theatre charges
- Hospital ward class and length of stay
- Diagnostic tests such as X-ray, MRI, and blood work
- Your insurance, Integrated Shield Plan, and Medisave coverage
By enquiring you acknowledge that the starting estimate is indicative only and that the final quotation is provided by the specialist after assessment.
3. Payment, Medisave & Insurance
Payment is arranged directly between you and the specialist's clinic or hospital. Accepted methods typically include cash, credit card, and PayNow. Many orthopaedic procedures are Medisave-claimable and covered under MediShield Life and Integrated Shield Plans; the clinic will advise on your eligibility and coverage. Orthopaedic Surgeon Singapore does not process payments and does not hold card data.
4. No Medical Emergency Service
This service is for non-emergency orthopaedic care. For life-threatening emergencies such as chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, stroke symptoms, major bleeding, or loss of consciousness, do not wait for an appointment. Call the Singapore ambulance service on 995 or go directly to the nearest hospital Accident & Emergency department.
5. Licensing & Qualifications
The specialists introduced through this platform are registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and hold accreditation as orthopaedic specialists. Registration details can be verified via the SMC public register and at the specialist's request.
6. Patient Data
Enquiring requires you to share personal and health information (such as your name, contact details, symptoms, and relevant medical history). This information is used only to connect you with a suitable specialist. Personal data is handled in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). 7. Limitation of Liability
Orthopaedic Surgeon Singapore acts as an information and referral platform. We do not provide medical advice and we are not liable for the outcome of any medical treatment, surgical decision, or the final price charged by the attending specialist. Liability for medical outcomes rests with the attending specialist in accordance with Singapore medical-practice regulations.
