Orthopaedic Surgeon Singapore respects your privacy and handles your personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

1. What We Collect

When you enquire to be connected with an orthopaedic specialist we may collect:

• Contact details (name, WhatsApp number, email)
• The general area of Singapore you are in or prefer
• Health information you choose to share (your symptoms, condition, and relevant medical history)
• Technical data about your visit to the website (IP address, browser, pages viewed), via standard analytics

2. How We Use It

Your information is used only to:

• Connect you with a suitable MOH-registered orthopaedic specialist
• Share the necessary details with that specialist's clinic so they can arrange your appointment
• Respond to your enquiry and follow up if needed
• Improve the website and measure aggregate traffic

We do not sell your personal or health information to third parties and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.

3. Sharing with Specialists

The specialist's clinic receives the minimum information needed to arrange and prepare for your consultation. Once you become a patient, your clinical record is held by that clinic as part of its own medical records, under the rules of the Singapore Medical Council and the PDPA.

4. WhatsApp Communication

Most enquiries are handled via WhatsApp. WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption in transit, but conversations are stored on your device and on the device receiving the message. Please avoid sharing information you consider highly sensitive unless you are comfortable with it being stored on both devices.

5. Retention

Enquiry records held by the platform are retained only as long as necessary to respond to and follow up on your enquiry, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Medical records held by a specialist's clinic are retained for the period required by Singapore medical-practice law. Analytics data is retained per the standard retention settings of our analytics provider.

6. Your Rights (PDPA)

Under the PDPA you may request access to, correction of, or withdrawal of consent for the personal data we hold, by emailing info@orthopaedicsurgeonsingapore.com. Medical records held by a specialist's clinic must be requested from that clinic directly.

7. Cookies & Analytics

The website uses basic analytics to understand aggregate traffic (pages visited, referring source, country). No personally identifiable information is attached to analytics beyond what is standard. You can block analytics cookies via your browser settings.
